Commissions

Margaret’s evocative pastel works not only create wonderful moods in the landscapes she paints, but also in capturing mood and atmosphere in personal commissions, where the meaning is important to the client who is requesting the painting. Margaret finds out as much about the subject as needed to capture the required ambience, which makes personal commissions ideal for both conventional and unusual (or unlikely!) subjects. In the last year, she has completed commissions including a painting of the Shard in London, and a scene of a golfer paying a Styme shot, as well as traditional family portraits and sentimental scenery. Other popular requests include family portraits, celebration of retirement, favourite places and family pets, but the list of possibilities is endless, and always fascinating for both commissioner and artist!

Commissions can be Oils on Canvas, or Margaret’s specialty Pastels with Gouache  The size determines the cost, and can be undertaken using sittings and/or quality photographs. Professional Framing completes the work, made at the studio to suit, and shipping can be arranged internationally.
